Peth head cottage - attractions

There are many things to see and do in the beautiful county of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Northumberland National Park is centred on the rolling Cheviot Hills and is within easy walking distance of the cottage.

The coastline such as Bambugh beach is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty due to the wonderful wide sandy beaches, traditional fishing villages and towering castles.

Day excursions include boat trips to the Farne Islands, the National Trust properties of Cragside and Wallington, and Alnwick Castle and Gardens to name but a few.
